Preface

The C&O Railroad courses through the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, connecting it from the coast of DC to the upper perimeters of Michigan. Only it felt like it didn’t really lead anywhere, if that makes sense; all it did was pass through our Great Valley, paying no mind to anyone, and leaving those behind that found themselves unfortunate enough to be born there. Just like the progress of time. Rockridge, Virginia has always been that way … and some things never change.
